Club President Rebecca Juarez opened the meeting by asking Lion Dee Baughman to lead his fellow Lions in a patriotic song, America the Beautiful. Lion Vicki Whitehouse led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Lion Bob Line performed the invocation.

Lions Exchange students Sarah Bilde and Cecile Hansen shared interesting facts about Denmark, their homeland. Cecile plans to attend Stanford University and study engineering, and Sarah hopes to become a police officer.

Each week we have a speaker come talk to our club about a variety of topics. Today, our own Eric Frost gave us a talk about the city's plans to fund services and asked for our opinion.

Today Visalia's mayor, Steve Nelson, talked to us about a nonprofit group that he has started to help people who have a family member diagnosed with Alzheimers.

Our club's meeting today took place at the Imagine U Children's University, that we help fund. Later, we were given a tour and got to play a little ourselves.
